Super sweet traditional atmosphere with exception friendly and welcoming staff. Menu is a dream for those with allergies or intolerances. Coeliac heaven! We enjoyed Sashimi, Smoked Duck, Karage Chicken and Ramen. All gluten free and absolutely delicious. Make sure you book ahead.
Very cosy vibe, would definetely come again. Plenty of vegan and gluten and low carb options. Best to make bookings so that you can sit at the table, however there are often seats available at the bar if no booking is made. Music is not too loud so it's perfect to stay for long and have conversations with friends.
Food was good but a bit salty and to be honest, we felt it was more Chinese than Japanese, for example, we never expect a bok choy in ramen, and the kaarage chicken was not crunchy at all. Staff was very friendly so in general, we had a good time, but if we would like to enjoy Japanese dishes, we would not give this the best option unfortunately.
The food is extremely terrible!! The beef rib is sooooo tough to eat (even though they call it 12-hours-slow-cook) and just stuck in my teeth๐. And super salty, even a bit bitter. Duck ramen only has 7 thin slices meat. And very salty again! Salty noodles, how is that possible๐ง?! Also, they didnโt serve water, which made it worse. I had to order a rice to soften the taste. Fried tofu, the only thing that tastes good. But only 2 pieces small tofu, for $17. I understand the restaurant is in city and the price will be higher. But I didnโt expect 2 small tofu cubs would cost me $18๐ Pros: -All staff are very friendly and helpful. -atmosphere is great, sooth music and dim light. -Drinks are nice. Donโt recommend it, run AS FAR AS YOU CAN when you see the restaurant, donโt be fooled by the pictures. I spent $120 to learn the experience.
Had the Fukushima Journey Menu at Uchi Lounge and every dish was an absolute delight! The staff were super friendly and made us feel right at home. The venue has a cozy, relaxed vibe and the music playlist was just perfect โ it really set the mood.
