I used to love going to Relish whenever I visited Launceston. The food and coffee were excellent, the service was attentive and friendly and the vibe was chilled and relaxing. I suspect itโ€™s under new management because itโ€™s nowhere near as good or popular these days. Todayโ€™s coffee was OK but I struggled to find much flavour in my smoked salmon bagel, attractive as it looked. For a suburban cafe with older customers the music was too loud and completely inappropriate. After Metallica, Nirvana and AC/DC I had to ask for it to be turned down, although it was replaced with the agonising screams of tortured โ€˜80s power ballads. As politely as possible, I mentioned how unappealing the music was to a staff member who appeared bemused that someone would even mention this, and that they hadnโ€™t even noticed. I guess itโ€™s attention to detail that makes the difference between a place you enjoy and one to which you wonโ€™t return.

Relish cafรฉ gave quite an enjoyable experience. The popcorn on the side of the coffee was a delicious accompaniment, something I hadnโ€™t seen before and enjoyed. The kimchi scrambled eggs were tasty, perfectly balanced with a nice kick of flavour. The service was delightful, warm, and attentive without being overbearing. The menu was small and well-priced, making it easy to choose without feeling overwhelmed. In terms of design, the ladder hanging off the ceiling was fascinating decor, adding a quirky charm to the space. However, the atmosphere gave off a more adult-oriented vibe โ€” itโ€™s not kid-friendly, so Iโ€™d recommend it more for a solo coffee, a date, or catching up with friends. On the downside, I would like to see the horrible green cutlery upgraded to something more chic, as used within the otherwise stylish setting it felt out of place. Overall, a unique spot with thoughtful food and design, just in need of a few minor refinements.

Thereโ€™s always a lovely experience to visit Relish. The friendly atmosphere and customer service are consistently great. Coffee is always on point and many delicious breakfast option to try out. Being pet friendly and having plenty outdoor seating make this cafe one of my favorite places to visit.

Could not fault this lovely cafe. The customer service is some of the best we've ever received in Australia. The girls were lovely and very attentive. Delicious coffee and even more delicious food. We had the bacon and egg roll - unbelievably good. Those house made brioche rolls are ๐Ÿ‘Œwith a perfectly cooked egg too. The avocado, dukkah Benny was also amazing, one of the best hollandaise sauces I've had.

The food and environment are great here with excellent service. Vee is super nice and helpful which enhanced our dining experience! Recommend kimchi scrambled egg, garlic roast potatoes. The lamb bowl would be your choice too if you are a lamb lover. Definitely come to try coffee here, love it๐Ÿ˜
