I’ve been here twice now, and although it’s an objectively cool bar, our groups have generally come away feeling underwhelmed. The atmosphere in terms of design and vibe are great, but there is no ventilation so it’s humid. The cocktails are great, but the wines are a bit strange. The service is fairly poor - other than not being invited to provide feedback on drinks or to order food, we’ve also had drinks spilled on us, had the non-drinkers in our group asked to leave, and been generally made to feel as if we are an inconvenience to the staff.

Visited Milque Toast and had a great night overall. The absolute highlight was the bread—it was unbelievably fluffy and flavourful, with a slight sweetness and a beautiful shiny crust. It paired perfectly with the whipped butter and set the tone for the meal. Atmosphere was lively and the staff attentive. Unfortunately, there were no oysters available that evening, which was a letdown since I was really looking forward to them. Still, the inventive menu and delicious bread made it a memorable experience. Would definitely return, but hope to catch the oysters next time!

We stopped by here for drinks and bites before our dinner. The place is tucked away in an dark lane way so it you don't know it's here you will walk pass it every time. The place is very quaint and nice. The staff were very friendly and tentative. The drinks menu was fantastic and the food looks absolutely delicious. We only had drinks and small bites to eat. Overall its a very cool place to hang out for drinks and dinner.

Milquetoast has a great vibe, causal, relaxed and inviting. The background music is at just the right volume, so you can enjoy a proper conversation without needing to raise your voice. The food exceeded my expectations, with quality that rivals fine dining restaurants. The oysters and leeks were fantastic, and who would’ve thought hot chips on white bread could taste that good? The duck was perfectly cooked and delicious. I’ll definitely be back again soon.

One of my favourite venues in Brisbane by far! Absolutely stunning cocktails, great selection of wine & vermouth. The food is mouth-wateringly delicious (especially the chip butty). The service and care put it in by the staff here is A++. Highly recommend!!
